I have not taken my camera out for a very long time! Beauty asked for a few pics! We will take her senior pictures at a few parks and she would like some urban pictures taken in the city but these were on our property at the house. I have really enjoyed the beauty of our place here in St. Louis. It is always fun with her infront of my lens.

I have opened myself up to very limited photography sessions in the St. Louis area since I have moved. Each time I pick my camera up I fall in love all over again why photography is such a passion of mine! This family called me up and wanted a few shots before their baby was born. It was a lot of fun being in their home! I had shot with his camera. It was a Nikon but a different series than mine. So, I did have technical issues. I learned I would only shoot with my camera. Also, because it was his camera and card. All pictures were his at the end of the shoot unedited. Boudoir Session suggestions

What is a boudoir session. Boudoir stems from the french word a woman’s bedroom or a private sitting room. The main focus of boudoir photographer is to capture you in the most flattering way.

Who would book a session like this?

A woman who is a size zero to 100. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and the essense of a woman's beauty can always be found within. There are no limits. Someone who wants to give this gift to her husband on their wedding day, or perhaps he is on leave in the military, or you have been married for a long time and want to add a little spice. You should book this session to capture your body the way it is now, whether you are with child or prior to having a baby.

TIPS
You want to feel and look your best on the day of the photo shoot.

1. Take care of any waxing/shaving in the sensitive areas at least 2-3 days prior to your photo session.

2. Please drink plenty of water. This will help hydrate your skin and prevent looking tired.

3. Stay away from salty foods to avoid looking bloated.

4. Whitening your teeth will give your face a brighter glow. Crest white strips a week prior.

5. No alcohol consumption the night before. You will look tired and puffy.

6. Your finger nails and toe nails should be well trimmed and cleaned. Manicures and pedicures should be kept up with. They will show in photos.

7. Relax and have a good time. Have your favorite music available.

8. If you have poses or pictures that you would like to duplicate. Please have them available. Practice and pose yourself in front of a mirror. So you are comfortable.

9. Please wear loose clothing 3 hours before our session. Unsightly bra and panty marks on the skin will be enhanced in photos. You can put these on after.

10. This is a clean session, no rated R poses or full on nudity please.

SUGGESTED ITEMS TO HAVE:

Bra and pantie sets, boy shorts, buttoned down shirts, long necklaces,stilletos, makeup, props, hat and tie, feather boas, solid color comforter, animal print sheet etc., wedding viel, santas hat, high boots or even an apron. Think of what you like to do. Perhaps your favorite hobby etc.

Ok, I purchased a new editing program and it so user friendly. Unlike ADOBE PHOTOSHOP. Now, don't get me wrong. I have learned to love adobe and do quite well in it but COREL. It is awesome. It is literally click click and I can add a texture and a frame and watermark! Pictures can automatically be saved as a 4x6 and a resolution of 72dpi! Which is perfect for posting to the web. Nothing larger can be printed! I love this program! Pictures are of my SIL and her family.

This mom to be is expecting her 4th child and is in her third trimester. She is so photogenic and beautiful. It was a lot of fun for me to take her picture and a few with her family. I have come to the conclusion that while I was pregnant I should have been a red head. I have taken two beautiful mom's to be and they were both red head. It is the hair color. I should have just changed my hair color when I was pregnant. Can I be a gorgeous red head now? LOL

This family just welcomed their new baby brother. This was the first time that I tried out my sb800 flash off camera. I struggled with the settings a bit. I was not used to indoor lighting or shooting with my flash. I requested a second shoot because I am not 100% satisfied. They were so easy going and laid back. Thanks for a great time!

This family was so fun to be around. Originally this session was planned to have the mom and the girls but she had a prior committment. Mom suggested we take it of dad and girls and what a great suggestion it was! The girls were so sweet with one another and pretty active. Little one did not venture far from dad. Aren't they just beautiful girls? I can't wait to see what else lies in store in my camera!

Their team was highly successful. I took pictures of the entire team and put together sport packages. All of the families except for 2 ordered from me. I gave them multiple poses per package. It was a lesson learned. It was a lot of work. I understand why only one pose is allowed for such a low price.

But, they had a friends reception that they were attending and things got pushed back just a bit. These two were so fun to photograph and so relaxed with me and the camera. Disclaimer:: These were taken before I knew much about post editing.

I have known this beautiful young lady since she was a MiaMaid in Young Womens at church. She announced she was getting married and asked if I could practice shoot some before wedding shots and some at her reception. I wasn't going to "be" their photographer but bring my camera along for much needed practice. Some shots were horrible and some were decent. No true portraits were taken at any point. Thanks you two for letting me play.

First timer!

These were taken 2 years ago. I was fairly new to my digital camera for about 6 months. Dh bought me one in the summer and it took me that long to learn it and love it. My neice was getting married and my sil Gretchen, who is a photographer, was hired to shoot her wedding. I tagged along as a second camera and it was so much fun because NONE OF THE PRESSURE WAS ON ME! So, while she was posing and doing her thang I sat back and got to watch and create. This is where I found I loved my camera. There is much pressure in being hired as a wedding photographer. You mess up someones wedding memories there is no asking for a retake or doing over! I also want wedding pictures that you see in a magazine. This is one of the many reasons why a wedding photographer charges what they do. These memories will last a life time. I look forward to being second camera on more weddings and one day being the lead camera. Until then live happily ever after!

WHAT to do??

I believe that photographing children is one of the hardest things for me to do. My niche is sports photography. I love that I can just take a picture and not have to pose anyone or tell anyone how to sit, smile or stand. This is why most of my pictures are UNPOSED and non traditional. I have found that I like taking pictures of people but to take pictures of children playing the sport they love is what I love! I get all clammy and sweaty and start stressing and leave a shoot thinking I have nothing in my camera that is usable. Sometimes, I have to sit for a day or two afraid to look in my camera. I am my worst critique. I can find something wrong with every picture.
